Understanding ISO
ISO represents the sensitivity of your camera’s image sensor. Understanding ISO can keep your images from having noticeable grain.
The lower the ISO number, the less sensitive your camera is to light and the finer the grain. Adjusting your ISO lets you control how much light ends up in the final photo. On a sunny day and ISO of 100 is ideal. As the day gets darker or turns to night, you want to increase your ISO to compensate for the lack of natural light.
For example, the photos above show the effects of decreasing the ISO. The lower the ISO, the less light is let in.
