As an Akron engagement photographer, I’ve explored some awesome local locations for photo sessions. From Stan Hywet to the art museum, Akron has so many photogenic spaces. But when Cait & Joe told me they wanted something with plenty of fall foliage for their session, I knew exactly where to take them for the session of their dreams: The Ledges Overlook in Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
I love how venturing just a few steps from the parking lot can you such a variety of moods and scenes for photos. From the open field lined with colorful trees. To the black barn. To the overlook itself. This scenic, quiet, open spot, especially in autumn, was the perfect backdrop for Cait & Joe’s love story! The colorful trees gave the whole session an adventure feel, and the dreary weather added a sprinkle of romance. While I’m sure Cait & Joe could take incredible photos in a Starbucks, a setting like this one sure didn’t hurt.
And let’s not overlook how well they dressed to complement the location. They took the style guide I sent them and totally blew me away with their outfits. The colors and textures photographed so well against this fall backdrop. But don’t just take my word for it, check it out for yourself in the photos below.
