Living so close to Cuyahoga Valley National Park, I love exploring all it has to offer. Especially the waterfalls like Brandywine Falls. As much as I visit the falls, this was my first time actually photographing a couple there.
Abbie & Nick were referred to me by the owners of their wedding venue, Conrad Botzum Farmstead. With their wedding being later this year in the Fall, Abbie wanted their engagement session to feel and look like winter. We all kept our eyes peeled on the weather forecast and chose a weekend in January to have their winter engagement session at Brandywine Falls in Northfield, Ohio.
The overcast gave the whole session a moody feeling while the light layer of snow helped with the winter vibes. While I’m sure Abbie & Nick could take stunning photos even in a parking lot, a setting like this one sure didn’t hurt. I also loved how they both dressed up to perfectly complement the location. From beanies to sweaters to winter coats, their outfits gave the whole gallery a cozy feeling.
Finding the perfect spot to take engagement photos isn’t always easy, but you better believe I’ll be returning to Brandywine Falls over and over again (hopefully when the trail to the waterfall is actually open). Congratulations, Abbie & Nick on your engagement, and I can’t wait to dance the night away with you at Conrad Botzum Farmstead later this year.
