Mariah & Ty are high school sweethearts who have been married for years and have five beautiful children. I was shocked when Mariah told me that they never got engagement photos taken and that it had been a while since they had pictures of just the two of them taken. I was glad to have them in front of my camera to capture their love.
As an Akron Photographer, one of my favorite Akron, Ohio spots to take photos is in front of the gorgeous Akron Art Museum. Mariah & Ty met me in front of the museum twenty minutes before a storm was forecast to start. They decided to go ahead with the session in the limited time we had.
Mariah showed up in a beautiful black dress that she was so excited to show off. The dress had a pretty high slit and we had to make sure the wind didn’t expose her too much. Ty wore khaki pants and a white shirt that complimented the scenery perfectly.
We also ventured to the top of a parking garage to get some city views of Downtown Akron as a backdrop. I got to used some of my new prism props to create some cool effects in camera. And twenty minutes after the session started it started lightly drizzling so we rushed back to our cars. As soon as I sat in my car the rain started coming down extremely hard, the storm had started.
Here’s what Mariah had to say about her time in front of my camera,
Kayla was easy going & made my husband & I’s session so comfortable. He is not a fan of photos, but honestly enjoyed himself. We laughed our way through our session & I was STUNNED at the amount of photos Kayla delivered when our session was only 20 minutes long! & she had them available for us in just a couple days! She is truly amazing! 1000% recommend!
If you’re recently engaged or wanting an anniversary session I’d love to chat with you on how we can create the session you’ve been dreaming of. So let’s get in touch and get this party started.
